How to get Retail Distribution for Your Self-Released or Independent CD

One of the most common questions asked by independent artists and bands is, “How do we get distribution?”. Here is a simple but effective way to market your CDs.

In our ongoing quest to help new artists and independent or unsigned groups get their names out there and their CDs available, we're introducing Echorider Metalworks as a broker for your CD. If you or your band have recorded an album and are now looking for ways to distribute your work, you can sign on with Echorider Metalworks. Here's how it works:

1.     Contact us and tell us about yourself or your group.

2.     Agree to the simple terms, and follow the procedure for filling orders.

3.     Email us a jpg picture of your album cover, your description of the music, and the price you wish to ask for the CD. There is no charge for listing your CD with us.

Note: Check the Order page to be sure shipping from your country is covered. If you think it will cost more than what we have listed to send out your CD be sure and add enough to your price to cover extra shipping charges (If your group is not in the USA, check with your country's postal service to estimate how much to add for Overseas shipping)

Our part: We feature your album cover, your description of the CD and price, a link to your website, and ability to sell through our PayPal shopping cart system. We'll also feature your CD for one month on the first page of the website. We deduct $1.50 from every CD sold through our website, you keep the rest..

Your part: You keep the CDs on your end. When an order comes in, we forward it to you via email and confirm that the payment was received. You fill the order, send it to the customer, emailing us confirmation of when this is accomplished. We know you'll want to keep your fans happy, and costs are kept low since the CDs only change hands one time.

Payouts are also done by PayPal, so you'll need an account with them. Every two months you'll receive a detailed invoice and payment.

And that's about it. Simple eh? If you have any other questions, drop us an email
